My Recent History is an optional feature enabling you to display the products a visitor has most recently browsed at the bottom of each product page. This provides a reminder of the products they have viewed and enables them to quickly return to them without having to search for them again. 
Visitors can turn this feature off, or delete individual products.
Enabling My Recent History
- Go to Inventory > Products.
- Click on the Settings button.
- In the Change All Products Settings window, check the Display Product History checkbox (in earlier releases this is EnableRecentHistory).
- Click Save.
As with most storefront elements, the look of this feature can be amended by viewing while in admin mode, mousing over the various elements and clicking on the Edit or Swap popup as covered here.
Displaying Images in My Recent History In Volusion 2011
In Volusion 2011, you can choose to change the way My Recent History is displayed. By setting the Enable Recent History Images variable you can display images of the last four visted products. 
To display images:
- Go to Settings > Config Variables.
- Click on the Enable Recent History Images check box.
- Click Save.
This function uses the "small" product images. Normally these are generated within Volusion and optimally sized (that is 150px wide or less). If, however, you have changed the Displayed on Category Results size when uploading the main Product image 
or have FTPed larger images with the " -1" suffix, this can cause problems with narrow templates and you will need to either resize all these images or uncheck the Enable Recent History Images and revert to the previous list display.
